Evaluating Event Archiver ®
Q: It the evaluation version of Event Archiver fully functional?
A: Yes, it is fully functional for managing the logs of up to 50 machines, and it does time out in 30 days.
Q: I've installed your product, but am having some difficulties
getting scheduled log archives to take place. We have tight security policies
in our organization, including atypical registry settings. Could this be causing
the problem?
A: Yes it could. Please visit www.doriansoft.com/support and
complete a support request to obtain a list of registry keys to which the Event Archiver Service must have access.
Q: Do I have to install clients to each workstation/server
I collect event logs from?
A: No. Event Archiver manages all logs remotely,
and no client installation is required. This greatly simplifies deployment time. In some environments, such as networks
consisting of multiple sites separated by WAN links, multiple installations of the software at each site is recommended.
Q: What kind of tech support does Dorian Software offer?
A: We offer pre- and post-purchase support via form-based

Purchasing Event Archiver
Q: I have event logs from 20 servers and 100 workstations
that I want to archive. Event Archiver however runs on only my machine. How many
licenses do I need?
A: Event Archiver is licensed per server and/or
workstation from which logs are being archived. Therefore, you would
need 20 server licenses and 100 workstation licenses.
Q: Must I wait for a CD to arrive by mail?
A: No need to wait. Just activate your evaluation version.

Q: Do you offer an upgrade service?
A: Yes, the upgrade service is available at the time of
purchase, and is only 20% of your total purchase. This will enable you to upgrade
Event Archiver for a period of one year from your purchase date.
Registering Event Archiver
Q: I've purchased Event Archiver, now how do I activate my software?
A: Consult the email sent to you following your purchase or take a look at the help file for more information. Activation of the software is performed via the Help Menu->Register Event Archiver item. For systems requiring activation without access to the Internet, email sales@doriansoft.com for special instructions on how activation should be
accomplished
